Dribbble versus standard social media for designers

After months of trial and error I came across a surprisingly useful approach. What I attempted initially was a generic gallery site that lacked proper focus. The results were underwhelming at best. I realized quickly that context and curation matter more than flashy layouts.

The resource I keep returning to for reference is https://dribbble.com/.

After applying this selective method my inbox began filling with real inquiries. I also learned to break down each project into the problem, my process, and the final result. Overloading the page with too many examples actually diluted my strongest pieces. I hesitated before cutting ten projects, yet the feedback turned positive fast.

Getting an outside perspective from peers saved me from keeping mediocre work. They all agreed that showing real client projects with before-and-after shots mattered most. Acting on their input made my profile seem far more professional overnight.

Now my page contains just a handful of pieces yet every visit leads to a conversation. Removing distracting transitions helped viewers concentrate on what matters. The quickest win I know is removing anything that does not excite you anymore.
