Choosing colors for a smaller wardrobe

autor: OliverPt » śr wrz 30, 2026 11:48 am

Packing for a move has made me notice how many similar tops I own but rarely wear. I like individual pieces, although their colors do not always work with the trousers that form my everyday outfits. I want a smaller collection that still leaves room for different moods, rather than a uniform of identical outfits. My first step has been comparing clothes I already own, especially combinations that can work without another purchase. I found a page about color analysis and would like to use the idea as a starting point for these comparisons. I usually reach for dark blue, whereas cream, rust, and dusty pink leave me unsure about possible combinations. Would you begin with two reliable neutral colors, or first identify an accent that works with several existing pieces? I would also like a way to separate an unflattering color from a garment whose cut simply feels wrong. If you have reduced your wardrobe successfully, which comparison helped you decide what deserved space in the final selection?
